Luis Preciado is an artist best known for depicting the modern woman in the 1980's and 1990's. During the 80's his art was licensed in calendars, posters and beach towels. His acrylic originals and serigraphs were sold in galleries throughout the world. In the 90's he explored realism drawing glamorous women in black and white art and was commissioned by such magazines as Playboy. The beginning of 2000 saw Preciado venture into oil painting and continues painting in this medium to date. Luis Preciado was raised in Nogales, Arizona. Upon graduating from high school, he moved to southern California where he attended and graduated from the University of San Diego with a Fine Arts degree. He lived in San Diego for 25 years. He now lives in southern Arizona with his beautiful wife.
